Shed Installation Guidelines

To ensure the longevity and stability of your shed, please follow the site preparation guidelines. Proper preparation not only protects your shed from moisture and uneven settling, but also helps prevent grass and weeds from invading the structure's perimeter.

 All sheds are designed to sit on a 6-inch by 6-inch runner. This runner elevates the shed above ground level, providing additional protection from moisture and pests 

The area where the shed will be placed must be level within 2 inches. If the ground is not sufficiently level, we will shim the shed with pavers to achieve the necessary stability.

For optimal performance, a gravel pad should be installed underneath and around the shed. The pad should be 6 inches deep and extend 1 foot beyond each side of the shed. 

For example, a 10-foot by 10-foot shed requires a 12-foot by 12-foot gravel pad.

· Pad Depth: 6 inches

· Pad Width: 1 foot wider than the shed on all sides

Example: 10' x 10' shed → 12' x 12' gravel pad 

This gravel pad helps keep grass and weeds away from the shed, minimizing maintenance and reducing the risk of moisture damage to the shed's foundation.
